App Volumes Manager is a web console used for administration and configuration of Omnissa App Volumes and assignment of application packages and Writable Volumes.
Note: The UI elements for Writable Volumes are not visible in the App Volumes Manager console after App Volumes Manager is installed. However, the Writable Volumes functionalities continue to be available. To make these UI elements visible and use the functionalities from App Volumes Manager console, the Show Writable Volumes UI toggle must be turned on. This toggle is present in the App Volumes Manager console within the CONFIGURATIONS tab. For more information in this regard, see the Control the Visibility of Writable Volumes UI section in the Omnissa App Volumes Manager Install Guide at Omnissa Product Documentation.
App Volumes Manager can be installed in multiple ways such as using the App Volumes (setup.msi) installer, Microsoft Windows Installer for silent installation, and through Azure and AWS Marketplaces.
Important: If you intend to deliver App Volumes applications using device management tools such as Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM, Microsoft Intune, or Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), then you do not need to install App Volumes Manager. Currently, this component is not supported for such a delivery scenario. You can directly install App Volumes agent either using the App Volumes (setup.msi) installer or Microsoft Windows Installer for silent installation. For more information, see Install App Volumes Agent or Install App Volumes Agent Silently respectively.
For AWS Marketplace deployment, see the App Volumes Deployment for Amazon AppStream 2.0 at Omnissa Product Documentation.
