What's in the Release Notes

Workspace ONE XR Hub Release Notes describe the new features and enhancements in each release. This page contains a summary of the new capabilities, issues that have been resolved, and known issues that have been reported.

Use Workspace ONE XR Hub as a companion to Omnissa Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub to provide an enterprise experience and cross-platform native launcher for Virtual Reality (VR) devices. XR Hub works with Workspace ONE UEM to provide secure access to native VR, remote VR, WebXR, Web, SaaS and VDI applications and shared device check-in/check-out functionality. XR Hub can also be used with Workspace ONE Access to provide advanced authentication and unified application catalog purposes.

Workspace ONE XR Hub 25.03.1

New Features

  • Added support for reporting the following Meta Quest device attributes (using Custom Attributes) to Workspace ONE UEM
    • Controller Battery Levels
    • Meta Quest OS Version

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed issue where Meta Quest controller battery levels and Meta Quest OS version were not correctly reported to Workspace ONE UEM.
  • Fixed issue where XR Hub failed to send logs to UEM.

Known Issues

  • Using Workspace ONE Access to publish CloudXR applications (using a machines IP address) can cause a 30 second delay in launching the CloudXR application from XR Hub.

Download Instructions

To download XR Hub 25.03.1, log in to Customer Connect and perform the following steps:

  1. Select All Downloads
  2. Select Workspace ONE XR Hub - View Download Components
  3. Select Workspace ONE XR Hub - Go To Downloads
  4. Under Product Downloads or Beta
  5. Select Download Now for the platform version of XR Hub required (Meta Quest, Pico, HTC VIVE).

Workspace ONE XR Hub 25.03

New Features

  • Support for native kiosk mode on Meta Quest devices
    • Meta Quest Horizon OS now offers a native kiosk mode with firmware version v74
    • XR Hub can now be configured using the OEMConfig,apk as the kiosk mode application
    • XR Hub configuration has been updated to support native kiosk mode
    • The old XR Hub kiosk mode mechanism has been deprecated.
  • Support for user PIN code on Pico devices

  • To download the newest version of XR Hub, log in to https://my.workspaceone.com/products/Workspace-ONE-XR-Hub
    • If necessary, scroll and select Workspace ONE XR Hub
    • If necessary, choose Platform : Android, then select the App Version: that corresponds to the new release, and then Console Version: All

Workspace ONE XR Hub 24.11

New Features

  • IMPORTANT! Changed package name / bundleID to com.ws1.xr.xrhub.<platform>
    • You MUST uninstall the old version of XR Hub before installing XR Hub 24.11. You must recreate application configuration settings in UEM for this new application.
  • Updated to Omnissa branded logos and text.
  • Add Legal Center window to the legal sub options under the user menu.
  • Fixed getting stuck on Loading Environment... when using custom logo environment.
  • Ensure background apps are killed when returning to XR Hub when using Quest kiosk mode so that their audio does not continue to play.
  • Fix Quest kiosk mode not working when its a newly uploaded application on UEM.
  • Fix Remember Me option on Login Window not always repopulating the remembered username in certain cases.
  • Show download progress bar on Tutorial Window when the video is still being downloaded and fix the window getting stuck in a loading state.
  • Minor legal-related text changes relating to transition to Omnissa.

    • There might be a delay between device boot and triggering of kiosk mode.
    • Access to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings are blocked after kiosk mode is triggered.

Workspace ONE XR Hub 24.09

New Features

  • Rebranded to Omnissa
  • Pico now supports enter/exit kiosk mode using a PIN
    • HTC exit kiosk mode can be achieved using the HTC system UI
    • Meta Kiosk Mode exit is already supported
  • Pico device tutorials available
  • Allow custom device tutorial app to launch
    • Use custom tutorial app for Meta tutorials
  • Allow casting on Pico devices
    • HTC casting can be achieved using the HTC system UI
  • Improved Meta Quest Kiosk Mode (must start from device passthrough)

Resolved Issues

  • Meta Quest 3 controllers now appear when using a Meta Quest 3
  • Fixed an issue where a restart caused XR Hub to get stuck on the loading screen
  • Fixed an issue where Kiosk Mode did not function correctly on Meta Quest v64 firmware
  • Fixed an issue where the user menu could get stuck open
  • Fixed an issue where the keyboard language setting did not match the devices chosen language setting.
  • Improved general performance and stability
  • Addressed several security issues related to an older version of Unity

  • Fix Quest kiosk mode getting stuck in boundary setup
  • Fix passthrough mode issue where 3D environment still appeared

Known Issues

  • Kiosk mode is in Tech Preview for Meta Quest devices as Meta does not support a native Kiosk Mode for Meta Quest devices.
  • Some of the typical Kiosk mode functionality for Meta Quest devices with XR Hub is implemented, but you should note the following limitations:
    • Kiosk Mode requires “developer mode” physical access to the device to run ADB commands.
    • XR Hub requires delegated administration rights from Workspace ONE UEM.
    • There might be a delay between device boot and triggering of kiosk mode.
    • Access to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings are blocked after kiosk mode is triggered.
  • XR Hub keyboard does not work with Horizon desktops and apps. Awaiting fix in Horizon 23.11.
  • Meta Quest 2 controllers appear when using a Meta Quest 3.
