You can use the Horizon Console user-interface features to navigate Horizon Pages and to find, filter, and sort Horizon objects.
Horizon Console includes many common user interface features. For example, the navigation pane on the left side of each page directs you to other Horizon Console pages. The search filters let you select filtering criteria that are related to the objects you are searching for.
The following table describes a few additional features that can help you to use Horizon Console.
Horizon Console Navigation and Display Features
| Horizon Console Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Navigating backward and forward in Horizon Console pages | Click your browser's Back button to go to the previously displayed Horizon Console page. Click the Forward button to return to the current page. If you click the browser's Back button while you are using a Horizon Console wizard or dialog box, you return to the main Horizon Console page. The information you entered in the wizard or dialog is lost. |
| Bookmarking Horizon Console pages | You can bookmark Horizon Console pages in your browser. |
| Customizing table columns | You can customize the display of Horizon Console table columns by hiding selected columns and locking the first column. This feature lets you control the display of large tables that contain many columns. Note: Any update made to column selections in the column picker will persist across sessions. To show all columns, click the Select All button. This is the same as resetting an individual datagrid preference. |
| Filtering data in grid columns | You can filter the data in any Horizon Console data grid by using inline, column-level filters. For more information, see Filter Data in Horizon Console Grids |
| Sorting on additional grid columns | Click a column header to sort the grid data by that column. Click the header again to reverse the sort order. |
| Persisting filter state in the URL | When you apply column filters to a grid, the filter configuration is saved in the URL. If you refresh the page or share the URL with another administrator, the same filtered view is restored. |
| Filtering by time period on the Events and Help Desk Activities grids | On the Events Grid and Help Desk Activities Grid, you can select a time period for the displayed data by using the time-period dropdown above the grid. You can select a predefined time period or choose a custom date and time range. |
| Administrator preferences | To reset the timeout preference and all the grid preferences, click “Reset Preferences” in the My Preferences dialog box. To hide the subscription banner asking you to connect your Horizon pod to the cloud control plan, un-select the Display Horizon Universal License Information Banner checkbox. |
| Customizing table pagination | For pages with tables of data, you can select to display 20, 50, or 100 rows per page. |
| Selecting all rows in a multi-page table | You can select all rows of data in a multi-page table by switching on the Select All Pages toggle at the bottom of the screen. |
| Selecting Horizon objects and displaying Horizon object details | In Horizon Console tables that list Horizon objects, you can select an object or display object details.
