Installing Horizon Agent with the URL Content Redirection Feature Enabled

To use URL content redirection from a remote desktop or published application to a client (agent-to-client redirection), you must enable the URL Content Redirection feature when you install Horizon Agent.

Instead of double-clicking the installer file, start the Horizon Agent installation by running the command in a command prompt window.

Run the installer with the following command to enable the URL Content Redirection feature:
-Horizon-Client-x86-YYMM-y.y.y-xxxxxx.exe /v URL_FILTERING_ENABLED=1

Follow the prompts and complete the installation.

To verify that the URL Content Redirection feature is installed, make sure that the -url-protocol-launch-helper.exe and -url-filtering-plugin.dll files are in the %PROGRAMFILES%\Omnissa\Horizon\Agent\bin\UrlRedirection directory. If you are using the URL Content Redirection feature with Internet Explorer, also verify that the Horizon View URL Filtering Plugin Internet Explorer add-on is enabled.
