Installing Omnissa Access Desktop

If your administrator has provided you access to ThinApp packaged applications, you must install Omnissa Access Desktop on your Windows system to use these applications.

Prerequisites

Verify that you meet the following requirements before installing the application:

• Supported operating systems: Windows 10 20H2

  Omnissa Access Desktop is a 64-bit application.

• Disk space: 20 MB for the Omnissa Access Desktop application. If ThinApp packages are installed locally, more space is required.

• Administrator privileges on the Windows system

Note: Before installing Omnissa Access Desktop, close all open applications.

Procedure

1. Download Omnissa Access Desktop from the location that your administrator provides.

   Administrators typically place the file on a download page that is accessible from the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub portal. If that is the location that your administrator provided, follow these steps to get the file.

   1. Using a browser, log in to the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub catalog.

   2. Go to the following URL:

      https://yourHubCatalog/download

      For example:

      https://myco.example.com/download

   3. Click Download Desktop Client for Windows to download the Omnissa Access Desktop.

   4. Save the file to your computer.

2. Double-click the executable file that you downloaded.

3. In the Setup wizard, click Next.

4. Accept the End-User License Agreement, then click Next.

5. Verify the features, location, and disk space.

   1. Verify that Workspace ONE Access Desktop > ThinApp Packaged Application Support is selected.

   2. To check whether you have enough disk space to install the application and the selected features, click Disk Usage.

   3. Click Browse and select the location for the installation.

6. Click Next.

7. Click Install.

8. When the installation is complete, click Finish to exit the Setup wizard.

Results

The application starts and its icon () appears in the task bar, unless you deselected the Launch Workspace ONE Access Desktop option in the Setup wizard. The application is also added to the Start menu and you can start it from there.
