Upgrading App Volumes Components

You can upgrade different components of Omnissa App Volumes by using the installer.

It is recommended to not use an unsupported App Volumes version because upgrading from an unsupported version might cause difficulties during an upgrade. For a list of supported and unsupported App Volumes versions, see Omnissa Lifecycle Matrix. You must use a supported App Volumes version and plan an upgrade path as per the Interoperability Matrix.

If you use an unsupported version of App Volumes and want to upgrade to a desired App Volumes version, you must first perform an upgrade as per the upgrade path until you reach a supported App Volumes version and then upgrade to the target version.

You can follow these steps:

1. Determine the status of your current App Volumes version. For more information, see Omnissa Lifecycle Matrix.

2. Find out the upgrade path. For more information, see Interoperability Matrix.

3. Perform an upgrade until you reach a supported version and then continue upgrading until you reach the target version.
