• Mark Attendees as Optional or Required in a Calendar Event

  When creating or editing an event, users can now mark an attendee as required or optional on a Calendar invite. This lets everyone know whether the attendee must mandatorily participate in the event or has an option to attend or skip the event.

  This feature can be controlled by an end user using the Add Required and Optional Attendees check box which is an Advanced setting in Workspace ONE Boxer for iOS.

• Enable OAuth Email Mismatch Check

  EnableOAuthEmailMismatchCheck is an application-level KVP. When enabled, Workspace ONE Boxer compares the identity returned by OAuth token claims against the expected email account or username. If the token claims do not match with the expected values, sign-in is blocked with an authentication mismatch error message.

  By default, the value of this KVP is true. When the KVP is set to false, this mismatch check is skipped.

• Read Receipts Management

  • End users can now control whether read receipts are sent when requested by the sender.

  • This feature is turned off by default and must be enabled by an administrator in Workspace ONE UEM by setting an application level KVP,AppEnableSuppressReadReceipts to True.

  • After the feature is enabled in Workspace ONE UEM, users can configure their preference using Send read receipts, a Workspace ONE Boxer setting:

    • Always - read receipts are sent automatically without prompting.

    • Never - read receipts are never sent, regardless of the sender's request.

    • Ask - a prompt appears within the email, allowing the user to decide on a per-message basis.

• Import Attachments from Third-Party Applications

  Resolved an issue that prevented users from adding multiple attachments to an email when importing files from third-party applications.

• HTML Signature Copy-Paste Improvements

  Formatting, styling, and layout are preserved accurately across Compose and Reply workflows.

New Features

Apple Intelligence for email summarization

• Pre-requisites: The following are the two prerequisites:

  • Apple Intelligence must be activated in the iOS device.
  • This feature works only for managed accounts.

• Workspace ONE Boxer integrates with Apple Intelligence to provide instant summaries of complex emails and long threads.
  Administrators can activate this capability by setting EnableAIEmailSummarization, an account-level KVP to true in the Workspace ONE UEM console.

• When the KVP is true, end users can control this feature in their devices using the Enable AI email summarization toggle. By default, the toggle is turned off.

  • If the toggle is on, a Summarize button is available in the email screen. When this button is used, an email summary is generated and displayed on top of the email screen.

Round-trip between Workspace ONE Boxer and Workspace ONE Content

• Pre-requisite: Ensure that Workspace ONE Boxer and Workspace ONE Content have 26.03 and later versions.

• End users can seamlessly send files from Workspace ONE Boxer to Workspace ONE Content, edit the files, and return the files to the original email thread (in Workspace ONE Boxer). This feature streamlines cross application workflows while maintaining context and avoiding the need to start a new conversation.

• End users can control this feature using a Enable files roundtripping with Content feature flag, which is enabled by default. This feature is available in Settings > Advanced > Enable features.

View required and optional attendees

• End users can distinguish between required and optional attendees directly within Calendar events and meeting invitations.

• End users can control this feature using a View Required and Optional Attendees toggle, which is an advanced setting. By default, the toggle is on.

  • If the toggle is turned on, the Required and Optional labels are displayed for each attendee in the Calendar event or meeting invitation.

  • If the toggle is turned off, these labels are not displayed for the attendee and the behavior is according to Workspace ONE Boxer versions earlier than 26.03.

Color-coding for email classification

• Administrators can assign colors to email classifications by adding a Color property to the PolicyClassMarkings KVP.

• Classifications are displayed in Workspace ONE Boxer using the configured colors for improved visibility and clarity.

  This feature allows an email sender to mention specific recipients within the message body, helping draw attention to important messages or action items.

• Advanced email search enhancements

  The email search field has the capability to detect the words from: and to: and automatically applies these words as tokens and search filters. As a result, the end user can type these words in the search field directly and apply the from: and to: filters.

• Microsoft 365 Avatars

  • This feature uses Microsoft Graph API to prioritize the retrieval of high resolution user avatars for Microsoft 365 accounts. If the Graph API fails or does not return an image, Workspace ONE Boxer uses Global Address List (GAL) images instead.

  • The following prerequisites are required for this functionality:

    • Ensure that Microsoft Exchange Online is used.

    • Ensure that access to Microsoft Graph API is allowed.

  • Avatar updates occur every hour. As a result, a user can view changes to their avatar on an hourly basis. Whereas the others can view the updated avatar of the user every 24 hours.
    Note: Avatars are fetched only for users from within the same organization.

  • To activate the Microsoft 365 Avatars in Workspace ONE Boxer, an end user can navigate to Settings and turn on the Graph Avatars for O365 Accounts toggle.
    By default, this toggle is turned off.

• XML-Based Autodiscover Option

  • JSON (v2) Autodiscover can detect incorrect endpoints, resulting in authentication failures. To resolve this problem, administrators can force Workspace ONE Boxer to use the XML (v1) Autodiscover protocol, bypassing JSON lookups.

  • If users have authentication errors, the AccountUseAutodiscoverV1 KVP must be set to True in the Workspace ONE UEM console.
    By default, the value of the KVP is false

• Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Control for Apple Intelligence Writing Tools via Workspace ONE UEM SDK

  • This feature controls the usage of Apple Intelligence Writing Tools.

  • AllowWritingTools is a Workspace ONE UEM SDK setting, which can be used to configure the availability of Apple Intelligence Writing Tools.

  • The value of this setting is true, allowing end users to access Apple Intelligence Writing Tools across all productivity applications including Omnissa Workspace ONE Content, Omnissa Workspace ONE Send, and Omnissa Workspace ONE Web.

  • To turn off this feature, the value of the setting must be changed to false.

• End to End Encryptions of Notifications

  • The End-to-end notification encryption feature enables message payload encryption between Workspace ONE Boxer and the Email Notification Services (ENS) server.
  • The encryption is done using a combination of a symmetric key to encrypt or decrypt the data and an asymmetric key for device registration.
  • To enable this feature, use the EnableEnsNotificationEncryption KVP and set the value to true.
  • By default, the value of the KVP is set to false.

• Notifications for Shared and Delegated Accounts

  • Notification capabilities are available for Shared and Delegated account types.
  • This feature can be controlled using the Enable Shared/Delegated Push Notifications toggle in Workspace ONE Boxer Settings.
  • By default, the toggle is deactivated hence the feature is turned off. To use the feature, navigate to Workspace ONE Boxer Settings, and turn ON the toggle.

• Insert CC recipient details into the email content

  • This feature adds details about recipients in the CC field within the email body of the previous thread.

  • The details are visible in the email body either when responding or forwarding the email.

  • By default, this feature is turned off. To turn on the feature, an end user must enable the Detailed reply headers toggle.

    • This feature is located in Settings > Advanced > Enable Features.

• Default Mailbox Customization

  • Users can customize the default mailbox that they want to see first, immediately after the Workspace ONE Boxer application starts.

  • The Enable default mailbox feature flag present in Settings > Advanced is used to control the option for customizing the default mailbox. By default, this feature flag is turned off.

  • If users turn on this feature flag and have a minimum of two email accounts configured in their Workspace ONE Boxer application, then the Default mailbox option is presented to the users. This option is present in Settings > MAIL.

  • When the Default mailbox option is clicked, the Set default mailbox screen displays the following options: Combined inbox, Last opened, and a list of specific (account) mailboxes. Users can select any of one these options. Whatever option is selected, the mailbox associated with that option is first seen immediately after the application starts.

  • If no mailbox option is selected as default or only one account is configured in the Workspace ONE Boxer application, then by default, the application configures the Default mailbox to Combined inbox. As a result, All Inboxes are visible to the end user first, immediately after the application starts.

• App Intent for Create event

  • End users can use the Create event App Intent in Workspace ONE Boxer through Siri, Shortcuts, and Spotlight.

  • This App Intent allows end users to quickly create an event.

  • The event is created in the Workspace ONE Boxer default calendar with the event duration as specified in the Workspace ONE Boxer settings.

  • Similar to the previously introduced App Intents for Workspace ONE Boxer capabilities, the Create event App Intent can be controlled using the DeactivateAppIntents KVP.

    For more information about the KVP, see the Workspace ONE Boxer 25.02 for iOS section.

• Ability to set Microsoft Edge as the default browser

  • Administrators can set Microsoft Edge as the default browser for hyperlinks opened from the Workspace ONE Boxer application.

  • This functionality can be activated using an application-level boolean KVP, AppRequireEdgeBrowser, in the Workspace ONE UEM console.

  • When the value of the KVP is true, Microsoft Edge is automatically set as the default browser for end users if the Microsoft Edge application is installed on their iOS devices. However, end users have the option to change their default browser to something else, even if the KVP value is true.

  • When the value of the KVP is false, hyperlinks from Workspace ONE Boxer open in the default browser and not Microsoft Edge.

  • By default, the value of this KVP is false.

• Email Recipient Indicator

  • This feature allows end users to determine whether they are the direct recipient (To) or a copied recipient (Cc) in an email.

  • End users can enable this feature in Workspace ONE Boxer settings using a toggle within the Mail section, Settings > More > Enable TO/CC Indicator.

  • When the toggle is enabled, a tag (TO or CC) is added to the subject line of every email received by the user.

  • By default, the toggle is turned off.

• Rich Text Formatting

  This feature which allows users to enhance their content with a diverse range of formatting options has reached GA (General Availability). For more information about this feature, see the following sections: Workspace ONE Boxer 25.05 for iOS and Workspace ONE Boxer 25.04 for iOS.

• (Experimental) Rich text formatting for Calendar Event Notes and Signatures

  When adding or editing notes for calendar events or creating signatures, end users can select the formatting icon present at the bottom of the Workspace ONE Boxer application screen. With this functionality, several formatting options such as bold, italics, bullet points, and so on can be applied to the calendar events and signatures.

  End users can turn on this functionality using a feature flag, Advanced Rich Text Formatting in Advanced settings > Enable features.

• App Intent for Show Last Mail and View Agenda

  • End users can use both the App Intents in Workspace ONE Boxer through Siri, Shortcuts, and Spotlight.

  • The Show Last Mail App Intent allows end users to access their most recent email.

  • The View Agenda App Intent allows end users to quickly open their agenda for the current day or a specific day.

  • Similar to the previously introduced App Intents for Workspace ONE Boxer capabilities, Show Last Mail and View Agenda app intents can be controlled using the DeactivateAppIntents KVP.

  Note: End users can turn on this functionality using a feature flag, Advanced Rich Text Formatting. This feature flag is present in Advanced settings > Enable features.

  • When composing, replying, and forwarding emails, users can select the formatting icon from the bottom bar. As a result, several formatting options such as bold, italics, bullet points, text color, and fonts are available which can be applied to the emails.

  • With this feature, end users have a visually appealing and organized presentation of their emails.

• Health Check Indicators Control Setting

  • Administrators can control the display of health check indicators in the Workspace ONE Boxer interface using an application-level, boolean, KVP HealthCheckIndicators.
    By default, the value of the KVP is True.

  • When the KVP value is True, all health indicators are displayed.
    As a result, end users can monitor system health and performance effectively.

  • When the KVP is set to False, all health indicators are hidden.
    This option can be used when the health check indicators are not required in the current context for the end users.

• Administrator Control for Writing Tools

  • This Apple Intelligence functionality can be deactivated in Workspace ONE Boxer using an application level, boolean KVP, DeactivateWritingTools.

  • The default value of the KVP is false. When the KVP is set to true, Writing Tools functionality is deactivated in the Compose Email and Create and Edit event screens in Workspace ONE Boxer.

• App Intent for Search Mail

  • End users can use App Intent for Search Mail in Workspace ONE Boxer through Siri, Shortcuts, and Spotlight.

  • Search Mail allows users to search for emails in Workspace ONE Boxer using a keyword.

  • If no search keyword is provided in the App Intent, the email search screen opens in the Workspace ONE Boxer application.

  • Similar to the App Intents for Workspace ONE Boxer capabilities such as Check next event and Open Mailbox, Email Search can be controlled using the DeactivateAppIntents KVP. For more information about this KVP, see the Workspace ONE Boxer 25.02 for iOS section.

• App Intents

  • End users can use App Intents for Workspace ONE Boxer capabilities such as Check next event and Open Mailbox through Siri, Shortcuts, and Spotlight.

  • Check next event allows users to view the next scheduled event for that day in the Workspace ONE Boxer Calendar. If multiple events are scheduled simultaneously, then the entire Calendar for that day is displayed instead of just the event.

  • Open Mailbox allows end users to view the list of available folders and accounts in Workspace ONE Boxer, select the desired folder or account, and open the selected folder or account.

  • End users can also create custom shortcuts that allow them to open a specific mailbox (folder or account) directly.

  • This feature can be controlled using an application level, boolean KVP, DeactivateAppIntents.

  • By default, the value of this KVP is false and the functionality is turned on. When the KVP is set to true, App Intents are not allowed and an alert message is displayed to the end users informing them that App Intents are not available due to administrator restrictions.

• Avatar Fetching

  • Pre-requisites: Ensure that Microsoft Exchange Online is used and access to Microsoft Graph API is allowed.

  • Avatars set in Microsoft Outlook for PC and web are now fetched into Workspace ONE Boxer.

  • Avatars for users in the Workspace ONE Boxer email list are retrieved from the Microsoft Exchange server.

  Note: Avatars are fetched only for users from within the same organization.

  • Users can choose between two different search modes: Extensive Search and Quick Search

  • The Quick Search mode is faster than the Extensive Search mode.

    This mode returns a list of results in just a few seconds.

  • The Extensive Search mode shows more details about the emails listed in the search result.

    Details such as attachments and events of each email are displayed on the search results page. The emails are shown in threads.

  • By default, the search mode is Extensive Search.

• Accept Proposed New Time

  • This feature allows a meeting organizer to respond with a single tap to new, proposed times from meeting attendees.

  • When a meeting attendee declines or tentatively accepts an invite and proposes a new time for the meeting, the meeting organizer receives an email with a prompt that allows the organizer to accept or ignore the proposed time.

  • Meeting organizers can see their own availability during the proposed slot before they respond to the proposed time.

  • If the organizer accepts the proposed time, the meeting is moved to the proposed slot. New meeting invites are sent to all attendees and the attendees are prompted to respond to the new invite.

• Out of Office Notification Improvements

  • This feature improves user experience when a user turns on automatic replies for out of office.

  • A banner appears preceding the email list and remains displayed until the automatic replies are turned on.

  This behavior replaces the earlier behavior where a pop-up message appears every 24 hours when the Workspace ONE Boxer application is open and out of office setting is turned on.

  • Automatic replies can be turned off by using the Turn OFF button on the banner.

  • The banner disappears when the duration of the automatic replies end as per the configured time or when the Automatic replies setting is manually turned off.

• Email Draft Improvements

  The improvements are for the following features:

  • Better error handling

  • Delegated accounts use case improvements

  • User experience improvements when there are attached files in the drafts

• SDK version upgraded to 22.11

• Enterprise Wipe User Flow Improvements
