Zebra MX Service v6.8 for Android- September 2026

New Features

• Device Wipe now waits for the Zebra MX framework to finish initializing before running, and reports the actual result to the Workspace ONE UEM console. Previously, a wipe issued in the short window after a device restart or an MX Service restart could be reported as successful even though the device was never reset. Factory reset also now returns a reason code and reason text, so wipe logs and support bundles show why a reset did not complete. Requires Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 26.08 for Android or later. Applies to Device Wipe, not Enterprise Wipe.

Resolved Issues

• AAGNT-203584: Fixed a crash that occurred when the Zebra MX framework signaled that it had finished initializing. The crash stopped the MX Service process and prevented device administrator activation and settings persistence from retrying.

• AAGNT-203141: Fixed a crash that occurred when the connection to the Zebra MX framework dropped while MX Service was persisting itself and Intelligent Hub across an enterprise reset.

• Rebranding of MX Service to Omnissa - As part of the ongoing rebranding efforts, the MX service has been renamed to Omnissa across the entire platform. This includes updates to documentation, UI elements, and service names, providing a consistent brand identity moving forward..

• Prior Version is Installed – With the MDM Agent Upgrade File/Action, the application seamlessly updates over the existing application version without disrupting device enterprise functionality. Admins can download the APK file from the myWorkspaceONE Portal.
