After you install Dynamic Environment Manager on Windows desktops or Terminal Services, you must configure FlexEngine and the Management Console.
To have Dynamic Environment Manager running correctly, you must configure FlexEngine.

Create and configure an Active Directory GPO for Dynamic Environment Manager. You must configure Group Policies to enable FlexEngine to run when the users log on to and log off from their Windows machines, and set up the locations of configuration and profile archives shares. The remaining Dynamic Environment Manager Group Policies are optional. See Create a Dynamic Environment Manager Group Policy Object, Configuring the FlexEngine Group Policy Object and Configure the Dynamic Environment Manager Group Policy Object.
Note: To configure Group Policies for FlexEngine, use Active Directory GPO instead of ADMX-based settings configured from the Dynamic Environment Manager Management Console.

If you do not use a GPO to configure FlexEngine, you can use the NoAD mode. See Installing and Configuring FlexEngine in NoAD Mode.
