Validating the manifest (dry-run)

Dry-run typically checks if all the required fields are populated, manifest syntax, SSH connectivity, docker availability and so on. For more information, see Pre-requisites to install dux and Editing the manifest file.

Run the command dux deploy -d

Example

  • For Tunnel: dux tunnel deploy -d
  • For SEG (if only SEG manifest exists): dux deploy -d

Host key verification

Dux performs host key verification for the first connection to container host. If the host is unknown, a prompt is displayed to check the host key fingerprint. If the user confirms the host key is correct, the host is added to known hosts. If the fingerprint of the host changes, the user is prompted again to ensure there is no intruder attack.

Example

The authenticity of host '192.168.99.xxx:xx' can't be established.
Fingerprint of the host's key:SHA256:AOy8f1sChEM7xLJyYP190vjjVxDLYI9ORDaKZCNKzzE
