When troubleshooting or testing the local copy package access mode, instead of waiting for the pre-configured sync interval to lapse, you can use the svservice.exe perform-synccommand to immediately trigger synchronization between a Windows endpoint and App Volumes Manager.
A Windows endpoint installed with App Volumes agent in local copy package access mode periodically synchronizes with App Volumes Manager to retrieve the entitlement changes and ensure that the application packages are up to date on the endpoint. This periodic synchronization is configured using the Agent Sync Interval advanced setting in App Volumes Manager. When this command is used, entitlement changes, such as assigning a new application or changing the CURRENT marker, are immediately synchronized to the Windows endpoint. As an administrator, you can quickly view the changes in the endpoint rather than waiting for the interval time to lapse.
Run the following command with elevated privileges from the install location of App Volumes agent: svservice.exe perform-sync
Important: Ensure that Volume Cache, an advanced configuration setting, is turned off. If this setting is active, entitlement changes are not immediately delivered to the end user until a cache refresh occurs. For information about this setting, see App Volumes Manager Configuration Settings Page.
