Using Agent Configuration Tab

The Agent Configuration tab provides an intuitive interface for creating and editing agent configuration files, eliminating the need to manually modify XML files.

NoAD Mode Configuration Files

NoAD Mode supports multiple configuration files. If multiple configuration files are present, they are processed in sequence.

Computer Environment Configuration and Dll Injection Exclusions Files

Only a single configuration file can be created or edited. The file name for Computer Environment Configuration is Computer.xml and Dll Injection Exclusions is DllInjection.xml respectively. These file names are fixed and cannot be changed.

Create Configuration File for NoAD Mode or Computer Environment

The most common configuration settings are organized in a category and sub-category structure in the side panel. In addition to these built-in settings, custom settings can be configured using the Additional Settings category.

  1. Start the DEM Management Console.
  2. On the Agent Configuration tab, select the required agent configuration from the side panel.
    For example, NoAD Mode Configuration.
  3. Click Create.
The NoAD Mode Configuration window is displayed.
  4. On the General Settings section, enter a Name for the new config file. For example, NoAD.
  5. Navigate to the sub-category for which you want to configure a setting and click Add.
For example, under Basic Settings, click Profile Archives.
  6. Select the required options from the drop-down list and configure the settings. Add multiple settings as needed.
  7. Click Save.

Configure Multiple NoAD Configuration Files

If you want to use multiple NoAD files, ensure that the following settings are configured.

  • In the main NoAD.xml configuration file, go to Advanced Settings > NoAD Mode Configuration, and set Support settings from multiple NoAD configuration files to Active.
  • For all additional configuration files, go to Advanced Settings > NoAD Mode Configuration, and set Apply settings from this NoAD config file if member of group to a group name or comma-separated list of group names. If the user is a member of any of those groups, the configuration file is processed as a NoAD configuration file for that user.

Remove a Configured Setting

  • To remove a setting from the file, select the particular row and click Remove > Remove from configuration file.

  • To remove a setting from the agent, select the particular row and click Remove > Remove from agent registry. This marks the setting for removal from the agent registry, but the entry will remain in the file.

Create Configuration File for Dll Injection Exclusions

  1. Start the DEM Management Console.
  2. On the Agent Configuration tab, select Dll Injection Exclusions from the side panel.
  3. Click Create.
The Dll Injection Exclusion window is displayed.
  4. Click Add to select an executable you want to exclude from the DirectFlex Dll injection.
  5. Click OK.
You can add/edit/remove the executable from the Settings tab.
  6. Click Save.
