Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub for Linux Release Notes describes the new features and enhancements in each release. This page contains a summary of the new capabilities, issues that have been resolved, and known issues that have been reported in each release over the last 12 months.

Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub for Linux 26.06.1 - July 2026

We have halted the release of Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 26.06 for Linux due to persistent CPU usage discovered during the release process (LAGNT-1662). This issue has been fixed and we are now releasing the patched version of 26.06.1. Version 26.06 will no longer be available and all customers that deployed it, should move to this patched release.

New Features

The Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 26.06.1 release adds some great new features and capabilities.

WPA3 Wi-Fi Support
Linux now supports WPA3-Personal (SAE) and WPA3-Enterprise (802.1X/EAP) in the Wi-Fi profile, enabling IT admins to configure and deploy modern WPA3-secured wireless networks to managed Linux devices directly from the console. This update maintains full backward compatibility with existing WPA2 profiles while delivering stronger wireless security aligned with modern enterprise standards.

SCEP Certificate Profile
A new SCEP profile for Linux allows admins to configure and deploy Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol settings to managed Linux endpoints, adding another certificate enrollment option alongside existing certificate support. This additional capability gives admins more flexibility to automate certificate enrollment and lifecycle management for Linux devices in enterprise environments.

Linux Support for Fastlane Sensors
Enables admins to retrieve critical device sensor data in near real-time, rather than waiting until enrollment or the next sync, by leveraging the Fastlane notification pipeline already established for Windows based devices. This eliminates the delay caused by the previous approach, giving admins immediate visibility into high-frequency sensor data as soon as it is assigned to a device.

While bug fixes support previous releases for Workspace ONE UEM, support for the new features in this Hub release requires UEM version 2607.

Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub for Linux 26.02 - March 2026

New Features

The Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 26.02 release adds some great new features and capabilities.

UEM Command to retrieve Linux logs (Hub and Custom)
Previously, this feature was available through the ws1HubUtil command (device side), but with this change, admins can now use a command directly within the Workspace ONE UEM console’s Device Details page to request hub logs from an enrolled device. The resulting logs are uploaded and available in the Device Details view under More > Attachments > Documents. For more information, see Request Linux Device logs.

Allow Admin to choose Hub Version
With this feature, admins now can pin the Intelligent Hub version they want to use for their deployment. All supported versions of the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub are available. This can be configured in Settings > Devices & Users > Linux > Intelligent Hub Settings. For more information, see Manage Intelligent Hub Versions for Linux.

Ansible Support in Custom Config Profile
Admins can now create custom configuration profiles using Ansible, in addition to Puppet, Bash, and Python. Along with this change, we no longer install pre-requisites for these third party options by default. For example, previously we installed Ruby and Puppet whenever the Hub was installed. The logic has shifted to only add these items if and when a custom config profile is pushed to a device. So this list not only includes Ruby and puppet, but also Python and Ansible. SUSE Device Update Profile
In addition to our existing support for Debian and RedHat based Device Updates profile, Workspace ONE UEM now supports admins configuring the device update behavior of SUSE devices running 15 or lower. For more information, see Device Update Profile for Linux.

While bug fixes support previous releases for Workspace ONE UEM, support for the new features in this Hub release requires UEM version 2604.

New Features

The Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 25.11 release adds some great new features and capabilities.

• Browser Settings Profile for Chrome and Firefox

We’ve added a profile enabling the Workspace ONE UEM Admin to configure extensive browser settings on managed Linux endpoints. This includes many great options such as allowing or blocking cookies or pop-ups on specific sites, proxy configuration, setting the default search engine, managed bookmarks and others for both Chrome and Firefox. For more details, see documentation.

• Device Update Profile

We’ve added a profile that enables an administrator to configure device updates for both Debian/Ubuntu and Red Hat/Fedora/CentOS based devices. This uses a function called unattended-upgrades on Debian and DNF-automatic on Red Hat. With this new profile, administrators can configure the type of updates they want applied, the frequency for checks and other important details associated with keeping the software of their managed Linux devices secure, patched and up to date.

• While the bug fixes will work with previous releases of Workspace ONE UEM, support for the new profiles requires running in a Shared or Dedicated SaaS environment on v2509 patch 3 of WS1 UEM.

  Note: Workspace ONE UEM for Linux is not currently available for on-premise installations.

• Python3 Support
  Added Python3 as a language option for authoring Workspace ONE Sensors, adding more flexibility for this powerful feature.

• Support for Firewall Profile
  Now both simple and complex firewall rules can be easily configured in Workspace ONE UEM and pushed to your enrolled Linux devices.

New Features

The Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 25.03 release adds some great new features and capabilities.

• New ws1HubUtil commands for sending logs to UEM - We have added ws1HubUtil commands to send logs to UEM. Once the command is processed successfully, logs can be found in the Documents section of the Attachments tab of the Device Detail view.

• Option to use Bash or Python 3 in Workspace ONE UEM custom configuration profiles - We have added an option to use Bash or Python 3 in Workspace ONE UEM custom configuration profiles. In addition to the option of using Puppet in a custom configuration profile, admins can now build a profile using either Bash or Python 3 scripts. The removal script and enforce script options that were previously available for Puppet are still available for these options.

• Date-Time profile - Similar to other platforms, this profile allows you to set and enforce the date, time, and time zone on enrolled Linux devices.

Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub for Linux 24.10 - December 2024

New Features

Important: Workspace ONE UEM is scheduled to be released at a later date. New Features will not be available for use until Workspace ONE UEM has been released.

• Restrictions Profile - With this release, an admin now has the option of configuring device restrictions and deploying them in a profile to enrolled devices. This profile includes a dozen configurations such as restricting sudo access, limited access to USB storage media, and naming restricted folders on the endpoints to name a few. See the documentation for more information.

• Pascode Profile - With this release, an admin now has the option of configuring mandatory passcode restrictions via a profile to enrolled devices. This profile enforcement for a few typical passcode restrictions such as complexity, length, and expiration timeframe on the endpoints to name a few. See the documentation for more information.

• Ability to use Native App Management to upgrade the Intelligent Hub - With the 24.10 release and moving forward, when uploading the .deb or the .rpm installer, you can control the deployment of upgraded versions of the Intelligent Hub on your enrolled Linux devices. This will be available for all environments as they get enabled for Linux native app management in Workspace ONE UEM (as noted with the 24.08 release of the Hub). Note: Due to limitations of the current implementation of app management, this can only be used for a single architecture of the hub at this time. For example, you can deploy the .deb installer for your x86 devices, but can’t add a version for your arm devices in the same OG.

• Omnissa Rebranding, including Install folder change - As part of our move to an independent company, we have removed references to our former company. Most notably, in the case of WS1 for Linux, we have renamed the Install folder to omnissa.

• Proxies Profile - With this release, proxy settings can be configured for enrolled Linux devices using a Workspace ONE UEM profile. This includes the ability to set a network proxy and global http proxy along with the ability to set exceptions within the Workspace ONE UEM profile. See the documentation for important notes and caveats.

• Support for Prompting User for Group ID during enrollment (Organizational Group) - Now, a user can be prompted with available enrollment OGs during command line enrollment.

  • To enable this in Workspace ONE UEM, select Prompt User To Select Group ID under Settings > Device & Users > General > Enrollment > Grouping > Group ID Assignment Mode.

• Support for reporting device UDID with ws1HubUtil - The Device UDID can now be retrieved device side by sending the following command: ws1HubUtil status --deviceinfo.

Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub for Linux 24.03 - April 2024

New Features

• SAML support for CLI Enrollment - For enrollments executed using the command line, the Intelligent Hub can now pop a browser to capture a user’s enrollment credentials if the Workspace ONE UEM Organization Group is configured for integrated, modern authentication. This removes a limitation that has been present since the first release of the Intelligent Hub for Linux and minimizes the need for utilizing web enrollment to enroll users. This functionality requires either Firefox or Chrome be installed on the device.

• Support for 64-bit on ARM - New installers are available for 64-bit operating systems (OS) running on the ARM chipset. This includes support for virtual machines running on M-chip based Apple Mac devices and any other ARM hardware running a 64-bit OS.

• Sensors in User Context - Workspace ONE Sensors can now be executed in the user context on a Linux device in addition to the existing option of running them in the system context. Now, this is like Mac and Windows that provide both options. The drop-down to select the execution context is in the definition of the sensor in Workspace ONE UEM starting with 2402.

• Added the option for admins to disable private key encryption.

• Added support for web enrollment using the flatpak installed browser.

• Added support for validating iptables for fetching the firewall status.

• Removed the sudo requirement from the enrollment command.

Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub for Linux 23.10 - December 2023

New Features

• We enabled the following commands:

  • Device Wipe – In addition to Enterprise Wipe which unenrolls, uninstalls the Hub, and removes any content pushed down with Workspace ONE UEM, Device Wipe provides a more extensive wipe, typically in response to a lost or stolen device. Device Wipe emulates a factory reset on the Linux device when invoked by the admin. This command removes apps, users, the user’s files/data, Wi-Fi connections, and other items to make the device unusable, requiring a new install of Linux.

  • Device Reboot – This command reproduces the effect of powering the device off and on again.

• Added a symbolic link to ws1HubUtil so that the device side user no longer needs to change directory in order to execute.

• We removed the sudo requirement in ws1HubUtil for status and version commands.

• Now, ws1HubUtil explicitly checks for the commands that require sudo, providing more security and better error handling.

How to Download Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 26.02 for Linux

Prior Version is Installed:

• The application seamlessly updates over the existing application version without disrupting device enterprise functionality. Either turn on automatic updates under All Settings > Devices & Users > Linux > Intelligent Hub Settings or manually install the new version on the enrolled device.

• If UEM environment is 2410 or greater and modern stack enabled, the Intelligent Hub can be managed as an internal or native application in UEM. Upload new version and assign it to the devices to be upgraded.

Prior Version is Not Installed:

• Direct end users to enroll using web enrollment where the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub is automatically downloaded or the appropriate installer can be downloaded directly from Omnissa Customer Connect.
