Turning off Omnissa Horizon 8 Data Sharing With the CEIP for all HTML Access Users

If an administrator has opted to participate in the Omnissa Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP), Omnissa collects and receives anonymous data from client systems through Omnissa Horizon Connection Server. An administrator can turn off CEIP data sharing for all HTML Access users.

To turn off data sharing through the CEIP for all HTML Access users, and prevent users from changing the Allow data sharing option in HTML Access, add the following setting to the \Server\broker\webapps\portal\WEB-INF\classes\portal-version.properties file on the Horizon Connection Server instance:

CEIP.disabled=true

When this setting is set to true, Settings (gear icon) does not appear on the Omnissa Horizon web portal page.

Note: This setting has no effect on Omnissa Horizon Client. For information about turning off data sharing in Horizon Client, see the guide document for the Horizon Client platform.
