Setting Up the Extension

Setting up the extension involves three steps: configuring ITSM systems centrally in Hub Services Console, creating a user group in Access Console, and configuring an admin role in Hub Services Console. Complete these steps in order.

Configure ITSM Systems Centrally — Super Admin Flow

Step 1: Set Up ITSM Browser Plugin Integration in Hub Services Console

  1. Sign in to Hub Services Console with a Super Admin account.

  2. Go to External Integrations → Available Integrations → ITSM Browser Plugin and click Set Up.

  3. Click + Add URL to add ITSM URL & Device Identifier (XPath) configurations.

  4. Click Done after adding one or more ITSM URL & Device Identifier (XPath) configurations.

  5. Two OAuth2 Client IDs are generated automatically in Access Console:

    BrowserClient ID the extension sends
    Chromeitsm-chrome-extension
    Microsoft Edgeitsm-edge-extension
  6. Click on the Client IDs to verify their existence in Access Console.

Step 2: Create a User Group in Access Console and Add Users

  1. Sign in to Access Console with an Admin account.
  2. Go to Accounts → User Groups.
  3. Click Create User Group (or Add Group, depending on your UI).
  4. Enter a meaningful Group Name, for example: ITSM Chrome Extension Users.
  5. (Optional) Add a Description noting that this group is used for the ITSM Chrome Extension access.
  6. Save the group.
  7. Open the newly created group and go to the Members / Users tab.
  8. Click Add Users and select all users (or a pilot set of users) who should:
    • Use the Workspace ONE Browser Plugin, and/or
    • Access device details from UEM via the extension.
  9. Save your changes.

You'll reference this group when creating the Admin Role in Hub Services Console in the next step.

Step 3: Configure Admin Role in Hub Services Console

  1. In Hub Services Console, navigate to Admin Configurations → Admin Roles.
  2. Click Add New Admin.
  3. Select the User Group you created in Access Console.
  4. Assign the ITSM Service Desk Associate role to this group and save.
