Workspace ONE Browser Plugin integrates Workspace ONE UEM device management into ITSM service desk interfaces. Without leaving your ITSM tool, you can view detailed device information.
This guide describes how to provision, configure, and roll out Workspace ONE Browser Plugin for Chrome and Microsoft Edge. It is intended for IT administrators who set up and manage the extension, and for service desk associates who use it to work on tickets from the ITSM tool.
How the Plugin Works
Workspace ONE Browser Plugin connects three components to deliver a seamless service desk experience:
| Component | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Browser Plugin | Provides the side panel user interface inside the browser. |
| Hub Services | Stores OAuth and connection details for Workspace ONE UEM. |
| Access | Handles user authentication. |
When a service desk associate opens the extension while viewing an ITSM ticket, the extension reads the device serial number from the ITSM page, and the Plug-in authenticates through Omnissa Access, and retrieves live device data from Workspace ONE UEM through Hub Services.
