Workspace ONE Browser Plugin is a Chrome extension built on Manifest V3 and Angular 22. It consists of four internal layers that work together:

| Options Page / Side Panel (Angular app) | Provides the configuration UI and the device details side panel. |
Background Service Worker (background.js) | Manages the context menu, routes messages between the side panel and the content script, and handles storage events. |
Content Script (content.js) | Accesses the active ITSM page, evaluates XPath expressions to locate the device serial number, and listens for messages from the extension. |
| Chrome Storage API | Persists authentication state, admin tokens, ITSM configuration, and temporary lookup data across sessions. |
The extension communicates with the following backend services over HTTPS:
- Omnissa Hub Services — Provides OAuth 2.0 token endpoints, admin token endpoints, device summary endpoints, and device action endpoints.
