If you want to immediately synchronize a specific application to its target instances, you can use the Synchronize functionality on the application in the source Omnissa App Volumes instance. This operation synchronizes only the selected application, unlike the synchronization operation on the App Volumes Instances page, which synchronizes all relevant applications and packages to a specific target instance or to all target instances.
For information about synchronizing all relevant applications and packages to a specific target instance or to all target instances, see Initiate Synchronization for a Target Instance.
Prerequisites
Ensure that at least one target App Volumes instance is registered on the source instance. For more information, see Register an App Volumes Instance as a Target.
If no target instance is configured, the Synchronize option is not available for the application.
Procedure
-
From App Volumes Manager, go to INVENTORY > Applications.
-
Perform one of the following:
- Expand the application row and click Synchronize.
- Click the application name and, on the application details page, click Synchronize.
-
On the Confirm Sync dialog box, click Synchronize.
The dialog box displays a message that the application will be synced to all of its configured target sites.
Results
A background job is scheduled to synchronize the application to its target instances.
What to do next
To verify when the application was last synchronized, observe the Last Synchronized field on the expanded application row or on the application details page.
For more information about the fields used for monitoring synchronization, see Monitor App Volumes Synchronization Operations.
