Troubleshoot When the Configuration Share is Unavailable

When the configuration share is unavailable, Dynamic Environment Manager immediately logs users out of Windows when they attempt to log in.

Problem

After users log in to Windows, they are immediately logged out.

Cause

If the configuration share is unavailable, the default behavior is to log users out immediately to prevent a non-secure session. The configuration share might be unavailable due to network connectivity issues or issues with server availability. Or, there may be a configuration error.

Solution

You can override the default behavior to allow users to log in and skip the import instead of logging users out. In the GPO, you can change the setting for the Paths unavailable at logon policy. By default, the setting If Flex config files path is not available is set to Logoff. You can select Skip import, instead.

Note: Be aware that changing this setting can result in a non-secure session and can be a security risk.
