Configure Dynamic Environment Manager Self-Support to Allow Managing Auto-Start Shortcuts

Enable this setting to allow user-managed auto-start shortcuts in the Dynamic Environment Manager Self-Support Tool.

Procedure

  1. In the Group Policy Management Editor, double-click Allow managing auto-start shortcuts.
  2. Select Enabled.

Result: End users can now manage which user-managed auto-start shortcuts should be automatically started at logon.

Configure Condition-Based Display of Auto-Start Shortcuts

By default, the Auto-start tab in the Self-Support Tool displays all administrator-configured auto-start shortcuts, regardless of whether their associated conditions are met. Select the Limit to matching shortcuts check box to display only shortcuts whose configured conditions are currently met for the user. By default, a complete list of shortcuts is shown. When this check box is enabled, only shortcuts with matching conditions are presented for auto-start management.

Result: End users can manage only the shortcuts whose assigned conditions are currently met.
