The remote desktops and client systems on which you install the agent and client software must meet certain requirements to support the Browser Redirection feature.
- Remote desktops
- The Browser Redirection group policy settings must be configured on the Active Directory server.
- The Chrome browser or Microsoft Edge (Chromium) browser must be installed.
- The Horizon Browser Redirection extension must be installed in the browser.
- Client system
- Only Windows, Chrome, and Linux client systems are supported.
- For Windows clients, Omnissa Horizon Client for Windows must be installed with the Support for HTML5 Multimedia Redirection and Browser Redirection custom setup option selected. This option is selected by default. See the topics about installing Horizon Client in the Horizon Client for Windows Guide document.
- For Chrome clients, Horizon Client for Chrome 2203 or later must be installed. In addition, the Browser Redirection feature must be turned on and configured as described in "Configure Browser Redirection" in the Horizon Client for Chrome Guide.
- For Linux clients, Horizon Client for Linux 2303 or later must be installed with the HTML5 Multimedia Redirection (HTML5MMR) and Browser Content Redirection (BCR) custom setup option selected. This installation option is selected by default. The Browser Redirection feature is installed with default configuration settings, which an administrator can modify as needed.
