Edit Package.ini Parameters to Create MSI Files

You can edit the Package.ini parameters and rebuild an application package.

Procedure

  1. Open the Package.ini file located in the captured application folder.

  2. (Optional) Type the MSI filename to name the package.

    MSIFilename=<filename>.msi

    For example, the filename for Firefox might be Mozilla Firefox 3.6.17.msi.

  3. (Optional) To activate an MSI parameter, remove the semicolon at the beginning of the line.

  4. (Optional) Change the value of a parameter.

  5. Save the Package.ini file.

  6. Double‐click the build.bat file in the captured application folder to rebuild the application package.

    For example, the Firefox path to the build.bat file is ThinApp_Installation_Folder\Captures\Mozilla Firefox\build.bat. For more information about the ThinApp_Installation_Folder, see ThinApp Installation Files.
