What's New
Unified Access Gateway 2603 provides the following new features and enhancements:

Support for large configuration
Added support for large configuration on Horizon 8 deployments. It can handle up to 4000 Horizon connections. -
OIDC authentication improvements
Support for automatic refresh of OIDC JSON Web Key Set (JWKS) so that the JSON Web Token (JWT) can be validated without requiring any manual intervention. -
Security Improvements
- Improvements to OS hardening.
- Added support for SAML HTTP Artifact Binding, enabling secure retrieval of SAML assertions from the Identity Provider (IdP). This reduces assertion exposure in the browser and enhances compatibility with IdPs that require Artifact Binding for SSO workflows. See Configure Horizon Settings on Unified Access Gateway for SAML Integration.
- Removed the deprecated
X-XSS-Protectionheader from the default list of Response Security Headers. - As part of SAML authentication flow with Horizon edge service, added
Cache-Controlheader to the response from/portal/nativeclient.

Improvements to multiple TLS certificates feature
When multiple TLS certificates are configured, only the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) is now used for hostname matching to select the most appropriate certificate. See Add multiple TLS certificates/Internet interface. -
Improvements to password policies
Improvements in OS login user and admin UI password policies. See PowerShell deployment parameters. -
PowerShell deployment improvements
Added support for specification of UNC path for Workspace ONE Intelligence credential file. -

Content Gateway
- Support SSL/TLS connections using certificates based on ECC.

Security Scan
Because of the OS update, special instructions are required to get accurate scan results of the operating system used by the Unified Access Gateway appliance. For more information, see Security scanning of Linux on Unified Access Gateway (UAG) version 2412 and beyond (6000738).
Resolved Issues
- UAG-13242: The deployment fails on Nutanix platform, if a Nutanix Prism Central cluster name matches with that of an AHV host cluster.
- UAG-13054: OIDC authentication fails when launching Horizon native client from Horizon client selector landing page.
- UAG-12971: The bottom part of the background of UAG Admin UI login page is displayed as blank when the web browser's window height is less than 1430 pixels.
- UAG-13263: "
Internal server error" whenspaceis entered as RADIUS password on Horizon client. - CMEM-187315: SEG edge service may not start if email server is configured with a self-signed certificate.
Known Issues

PPAT-21429: Syslog over TCP fails when sent directly from Tunnel service.
Workaround:
1. On Workspace ONE UEM console, go to Tunnel configuration and select the Syslog Hostname aslocalhost.
2. On UAG Admin console, go to Advanced Settings > Syslog server settings and select the Protocol as TCP. -
AST-25524: Error
UAG settings imported partially due to one or more errors observed while trying to persist settingsis displayed when exporting a JSON configuration from UAG admin console and importing the same file back without any modifications.
Workaround:
This issue is limited to the UAG admin UI and has no functional impact. Currently, there is no workaround. -
UAG-13396: Stack trace disclosure from an API, under certain conditions.

This issue has no functional impact. Currently, there is no workaround. -
UAG-13953: When UAG SAML configuration is read through certain APIs, the system triggers false-positive
CONFIG_CHANGEaudit log entries.
Workaround:
This issue has no functional impact. Currently, there is no workaround.
