New Features
Organization Group-Based Access Controls
ServiceNow administrators can now configure access controls based on Organization Groups (OGs) to restrict device remediation to specific groups of devices.
This enhancement provides more granular control over the following:
- The actions that are permitted
- The service desk user groups that are authorized to perform those actions
- The Organization Groups, and their associated devices, on which actions can be performed
For more information, see Configure Organization Group-Based Access.
Digital Employee Experience Data for Mobile Devices
Service desk administrators can now view Digital Employee Experience (DEX) telemetry data for mobile devices directly within any ServiceNow ticket. This enables faster diagnosis and resolution of mobile device issues without leaving the ServiceNow interface.
The following mobile DEX data is available within any ServiceNow ticket:
- Network performance
- Battery averages
- Application crash events
- User telemetry
Device Search by Friendly Name
Service desk administrators can now search for devices by using the device's friendly name. This expands the available search options beyond serial number and username, so administrators can locate devices and initiate investigation or remediation more quickly.
Configurable UEM, Experience, and Horizon Tabs
ServiceNow administrators can now configure the visibility of the UEM, Experience, and Horizon tabs within any ServiceNow ticket. Each tab can be independently shown or hidden to align with your organization's workflow requirements.
Extended DEX Data History
ServiceNow administrators can now configure the Experience data display period to show device events for up to 90 days. The previous limit of 24 hours has been extended, allowing service desk administrators to view and analyze a longer history of device events to diagnose recurring or intermittent issues.

New Features
-
Search by any field in any table
-
ServiceNow administrators can now specify the exact field and table where device identifiers such as serial number or username are stored. These fields and tables can be standard out-of-the-box (OOTB), non-standard OOTB, or custom. This update allows Service Desk Administrators (SDA) to open a ticket and automatically trigger a search in UEM using the configured field and table. The process simplifies device lookup and improves data retrieval.
-
Previously, only standard ServiceNow fields for username and serial number were supported. With this enhancement, administrators can configure non-standard and custom fields to retrieve device details and take further action.
-
-
Configurable Horizon Actions
- ServiceNow administrators can enable or disable specific Horizon actions from a list of pre-canned HZN actions. Only the actions that are enabled will be available to SDA when working on a ticket.
-
Incident number in UEM notes
- The incident number associated with an action is now added to the device notes in UEM. This enhancement simplifies auditing by linking each action to its originating incident. Actions can still be taken from any ticket type, and this feature applies to all ticket types.
-
Add tag name in worknotes
- Previously, when a tag was added or removed, the tag name was not recorded in ServiceNow work notes, and it was unclear whether the action involved adding or removing a tag. This has been improved. The tag name and action type (added or removed) are now appended to the work notes for better clarity.
-
Freestyle workflows for iOS and Android
- Freestyle workflows can now be triggered on iOS and Android devices. Previously, this functionality was available only on Windows and macOS. Workflows are now supported across all device platforms.
-
Filter device search results
- The device list is now filterable. You can apply filters to refine results from the initial search.
-
Privacy statement is added to the Guided setup
- A Privacy Policy section has been added to improve visibility for ServiceNow administrators.

-

-
Compliance Policies
- Sevice desk associates can verify the Compliance Policy to determine which policy is failing on a device so they can fix an issue. To use this feature, at least once security or compliance policy must be assigned to the device. You can see policies by navigating to Security > Compliance > Compliance Policies.

-
DEXSD-831 - Guided setup should be 0% at start.

Known Issues
-
DEXSD-949 - After upgrading, the old tabs in the related list within native UI are still visible. This will be fixed in a patch version.
-
DEXSD-936 - Compliance status is not available, but overall status is compliant. This will be fixed in a patch version.
