The Omnissa Customer Experience Improvement Program ("CEIP") provides Omnissa with information that enables Omnissa to improve its products and services, fix problems, and advise you on how best to deploy and use our products.
Horizon 8 is configured by default to allow you to join the Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) during the installation process. If you do not wish to participate in the program, deselect the option during installation.
For information about the type of data that Omnissa collects through the CEIP, and how it uses that data, see the Trust Center at https://www.omnissa.com/trust-center/.
To configure data sharing in Horizon Client, see the appropriate Horizon Client installation and setup guide. For example, for Windows clients, see the Horizon Client for Windows Guide document. To configure data sharing in Horizon Web Client, see the Horizon Horizon Web Client Guide document on the Omnissa Product Documentation portal.

Operations Data Collection and Customer Opt-Out
Omnissa collects certain Operations Data as a required component of its services. This data is essential for ensuring license compliance, detecting overuse, identifying potential fraud, and maintaining the integrity and performance of our Software. While we do not recommend opting out of Operations Data collection, we understand that some customers may have specific concerns. As such, Omnissa reserves the right to allow opt-out on a case-by-case basis, subject to the following conditions:
-
Customer Reporting Obligation
By opting out, the customer agrees to provide Omnissa with regular, accurate, and complete reports containing the following data attributes:
- Total number of active users
- Feature usage metrics
- Deployment footprint (e.g., number of instances, environments)
- License consumption details
- Any other data reasonably required to assess compliance
-
Audit Rights
Omnissa retains the right to audit customer environments to verify the accuracy of the provided reports and ensure compliance with licensing terms.
-
Reinstatement of Data Collection
Omnissa may reinstate Operations Data collection if the customer fails to meet reporting obligations or if discrepancies are identified.
-
This opt-out provision is not guaranteed and may be revoked if it materially impacts Omnissa’s ability to deliver Software or enforce its rights.
