Enable Omnissa Identity Service

The first step in setting up the integration with your identity provider is to enable Omnissa Identity Service. Make sure you review the information in Configuring User Provisioning and Identity Federation with Omnissa Identity Service and Getting Started with Omnissa Identity Service before enabling the service.

Caution: Review the requirements and considerations carefully before enabling Omnissa Identity Service. To revert the action, you might need to call Support. See Deactivating Omnissa Identity Service.

Prerequisites

• If you plan to use Omnissa Identity Service with Workspace ONE UEM, your Workspace ONE UEM tenant must be version 2212 or later.

• If you plan to use Omnissa Identity Service with Omnissa Access, you must use the Omnissa Access cloud service or Omnissa Access on-premises version 26.07 or later.

• Your Workspace ONE UEM, Omnissa Access, or Horizon Cloud tenants must not have an existing integration with a directory source or identity provider.

• You plan to integrate one of the following SCIM 2.0-based cloud identity providers:

  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Okta
  • Any generic SCIM 2.0 identity provider

  Note: Direct integration with Active Directory is not supported.

• You have completed the onboarding steps, have the required permissions, and can access Omnissa Identity Service as described in Getting Started with Omnissa Identity Service.

• You have reviewed the Key Considerations and Unsupported Features described in Configuring User Provisioning and Identity Federation with Omnissa Identity Service.

Procedure

1. Navigate to Omnissa Identity Service.

   • Cloud: Log in to the Omnissa Connect console, select Identity Management > End User Management from the left pane, then click Launch End User Management.
   • On premises: Log in to the Omnissa Access console, select Integrations > Identity Service, then click Configure SCIM Provisioning.

   Omnissa Identity Service opens in a new tab in the browser.

2. In the Identity Service tab, click Get Started.

3. On the Configure Omnissa Identity Service page, review the requirements and make sure that you meet the requirements to enable Omnissa Identity Service.

4. In step 1, Enable Identity Service, of the Getting Started wizard, click Start.

   Note: If the Start button is deactivated, your tenant does not meet the requirements for Omnissa Identity Service.

   

5. On the Enable Omnissa Identity Service page, review the considerations carefully, and select the check boxes to confirm that you have read and understood them.

6. Click Enable and confirm your selection.

Results

When Omnissa Identity Service is successfully activated, the Enable Identity Service step displays a green check mark and Completed status.
