When an instant-clone desktop is in an error state, you have the option to recover it. The desktop is recreated from the current base image.
Procedure

In View Administrator, select Catalog > Desktop Pools, double-click a pool's ID, and click the Inventory tab.

Select one or more machines and click Recover.
