Manually Update External Database Password and Update the JDBC Password Property in Omnissa Access

If the database password update fails when you modify the Omnissa Access appliance configuration settings, you can use the hznEncrypt command to manually create the encrypted database password and then add it to the JDBC password property.

Note: To modify other JDBC URL parameters, such as the database server hostname, port number, or database name, see Modify the JDBC URL Connection Parameters in Omnissa Access.

  1. Log in to the Omnissa Access appliance as the root user.

  2. To create the encrypted version of the password, run the command hznEncrypt <database user password\>.
