Configure OpenSearch for Nodes in Secondary Data Center for Omnissa Access

After you use the OVA file exported from the primary data center to create nodes in the secondary data center, you must manually set the cluster.initial\_master\_nodes property value for all the nodes in the secondary cluster to form the OpenSearch cluster for the secondary data center nodes.

Configure each of the nodes in the secondary data center with the same property value that is entered for the first node in the secondary data center.

Procedure

1. In the first node in the secondary data center, access the file for editing.

   vi /opt/wss/opensearch/config/opensearch.yml

2. Edit the following line to add the cluster.initial_master_nodes property value as the FQDN of the first node in the secondary data center.

   cluster.initial_master_nodes: firstnode.fqdn.from.secondary.site

3. Configure each of the nodes in the secondary data center with the same property value.

4. Restart the OpenSearch services on all the nodes.

5. Verify that the OpenSearch clustering is set up correctly on all nodes.

   curl 'http://localhost:9200/\_cluster/health?pretty'

   This command which verifies the OpenSearch health, should return a result similar to the following.
