Upgrading Java on the Omnissa Access Connector Server

Omnissa Access connector 26.05 uses OpenJDK 17. The OpenJDK version required for the connector is packaged with the connector installer and automatically installed during the connector installation. If you want to upgrade OpenJDK on the connector server subsequently, make sure that you stay on version 17.x and follow this procedure to ensure that the Omnissa Access connector continues to work correctly after the OpenJDK upgrade.

Note: If OpenJDK gets upgraded automatically on the connector server, follow steps 4-5 after the upgrade.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the connector server.

  2. Stop the enterprise services that are installed on the server.

    Service names:

    • Access User Auth Service
    • Access Directory Sync Service
    • Access Kerberos Auth Service
    • Access Virtual App Service
  3. Install the new OpenJDK version.

  4. Verify that the JAVA_HOME environment variable points to the new OpenJDK, and update it if needed.

To check the JAVA_HOME variable, type the following command in the Command Prompt window:
    echo %JAVA_HOME%

  5. Start all the installed services.
