Archive a Machine on Forensic Hold

You can now archive a held machine from the Admin Console.

Note: This function is available only to Forensic Administrators and is only applicable to held machines.

Note: Before archiving, you must use APIs to set a datastore where the archive machine data will be stored. This functionality is not currently available from the Admin Console. If the datastores are not set via API and you try to archive a held machine, you will get an error message indicating that datastores must be set before you can archive the held machine.

Procedure

1. From either the machine listing or machine summary page, select the Held Machine you want to Archive.

2. Select More Commands > Archive Held Machine.
