In addition to standard URL Content Redirection rules, Horizon now supports the URL redirection to a connected agent session capability for Windows clients. This enhancement enables URLs to be redirected directly into an active remote desktop or published application session, rather than the Remote Item defined in registry settings.
How It Works
When this feature is enabled, Horizon checks for an active remote desktop or application session. If a session is available, the redirected URL opens in that session. If multiple sessions are active, the URL is redirected to the most recently connected session. If no session is active, Horizon applies the standard redirection rules and launches a new session based on your configuration. For example, if you connect first to Session A and then to Session B, URLs open in Session B. If Session B is closed, any new subsequent URLs are redirected to Session A.
Configure URL Redirection to a Connected Horizon Agent
Note: As this is an add-on feature, ensure that all required Client-to-Agent URL redirection configurations are completed before enabling this option. The feature is available for Windows clients starting with version 2512. Existing URL redirection rules remain necessary to support fallback scenarios and maintain compatibility across environments.
