Set up an Imported Certificate from Omnissa Horizon Console

As an alternative method for importing certificates, use the Certificate Management feature in Horizon Console to import a certificate in .pem or .pfx format. This features is supported for Omnissa Horizon 8 version 2212 and later.

Prerequisites

  • The Root CA Certificate should already be installed in “Trusted Root Certification Authorities”.
  • You must have the Manage Certificates privilege to perform Import and Generate CSR operations. If you do not have this privilege, you must assign it. See "Manage Custom Roles" in the Administration guide in the Horizon 8 documentation.
  • Certificate file size should be no more than 250kB.

Procedure

  1. From Horizon Console, select Certificate Management.

  2. Click the Import button.

  3. Select PFX or PEM, then click Browse to locate a valid, signed certificate.

  4. If importing a PFX certificate, enter a password for the file.

  5. Select Machine or Cluster for Certificate Usage.

  6. Click Import. The latest version of the certificate is imported.

  7. Restart the Omnissa Horizon Connection Server to reflect the imported TLS certificate.

    Note:

    • If you try to import an invalid certificate the import will fail with an appropriate error message. Check the logs for more information.
