Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM now supports the MQTT communications protocol for printers and IoT devices. In this initial release, support is provided for Zebra printers running LinkOS v6.7 or later, which are MQTT-capable. Support for MQTT-capable printers from other manufacturers may be introduced in future releases.
To enable UEM management over MQTT, Zebra printers must be running LinkOS v6.7 or greater. Printers that cannot be upgraded to LinkOS v6.7 or greater are not eligible for MQTT-based management and must continue to be managed using the legacy method through the Zebra AirWatch Connector. For information on managing legacy Zebra printers, refer to Introduction to Zebra Printer Management.
Supported Devices
- Any Zebra printers supporting MQTT (LinkOS 6.7 and above) are supported.
A more comprehensive compatibility table will be made available as device testing progresses.
Integration Requirements
You must meet the requirements listed below to integrate Workspace ONE UEM with the Zebra Print server and manage the printers from the UEM Console.
Workspace ONE UEM Requirements
- Workspace ONE UEM Console 26.07 or higher
- At least one Organization Group configured in the UEM Console dedicated solely to Zebra peripheral device management.
