Working in the Omnissa Access Console

The Omnissa Access console provides you with a centralized management console with which you can manage users and groups, set up and manage authentication and access policies, and add resources to the catalog and manage entitlements to those resources. You can also configure the integration with Workspace ONE UEM.

The key tasks you perform from the Omnissa Access console are to manage user authentication and access policies and entitle users to resources. Other tasks support this key task by providing you with more detailed control over which users or groups are entitled to which resources under which conditions.

When Workspace ONE Hub Services is configured with Omnissa Access, end users can access their work resources from their user Hub portal in a browser or from the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub App on their devices. You can access the Hub Services console from the Omnissa Access console to set up how employees use the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub app to access company resources, receive notifications, and search for people. See Workspace ONE Hub Services documentation for information about configuring and managing Hub Services.

Note: For documentation about configuring and managing user authentication and access policies, see the Managing Omnissa Access User Authentication Methods guide.

Omnissa Identity Service

Omnissa Identity Service is a platform service that integrates Omnissa services, including Omnissa Access, with a third-party identity provider to provide centralized user management. Omnissa Identity Service is based on the System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) 2.0 protocol.

Omnissa Identity Service is available both as a cloud service and an on-premises service. For on-premises deployments, it is bundled with Omnissa Access 26.07 and later. See Accessing Omnissa Identity Service in Omnissa Access On Premises for information about accessing Identity Service from the Omnissa Access console.

When Omnissa Identity Service is enabled, some features in Omnissa Access are not available. See the Unsupported Workspace ONE Features topic in the Configuring User Provisioning and Identity Federation with Omnissa Identity Service guide.
