The Omnissa Access service is available on-premises as a Linux-based virtual appliance with Project Photon OS™, a minimal Linux container host.
Important A fresh installation of Omnissa Access 24.07.0.0 is not supported. You must upgrade from an existing version of 22.09.1.0 or 23.09.0.0. The upgrade to Omnissa Access 24.07.0.0 must be performed offline. See the Upgrade to Omnissa Access for Version 24.07.
After you upgrade to Workspace ONE Acccess 24.07, you can use the Omnissa Access console to manage users and groups, set up and manage authentication and access policies, and add resources to the catalog and manage entitlements to those resources. You can also configure Workspace ONE UEM integration, and launch Hub Services.
Omnissa Access and Other Technologies
You integrate the Omnissa Access service with several other technologies, including the Omnissa Access connector. You integrate the service with other technologies, such as vCenter™, ESX™, and vSphere®.
Knowledge of many other technologies is required, such as of Active Directory, databases, backup and restore procedures, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), and NTP servers. Knowledge of other technologies, such as Horizon and RSA SecurID, is helpful if you plan to implement those features.
