Setting Omnissa Horizon Console to Trust a vCenter Server Certificate

In the Horizon Console dashboard, you can configure Omnissa Horizon 8 to trust a vCenter Server certificate that is untrusted.

Omnissa strongly recommends that you configure vCenter Server to use TLS certificates that are signed by a CA. The documentation for configuring vCenter Server to use CA-signed TLS certificates resides in the Broadcom documentation in their techdocs.broadcom.com site (for example Managing vCenter Server Certificates.)

Alternatively, you can accept the thumbprint of the default certificate for vCenter Server. Refer to page Accept the Thumbprint of a Default TLS Certificate.

If your Horizon 8 deployment also involves using SAML 2.0 authenticators, Omnissa recommends that you configure those SAML 2.0 authenticators to use TLS certificates that are signed by a CA. See the documentation for your SAML 2.0 authenticator provider for details on how to configure them with CA-signed TLS certificates.

Alternatively, in the Horizon Console dashboard you can configure Horizon 8 to trust an untrusted SAML 2.0 server certificate by accepting the thumbprint of the default certificate. Those steps are performed in the same are of the Horizon Console as described in Step 3 of Accept the Thumbprint of a Default TLS Certificate.
