Remove a vCenter Server Instance from Horizon

You can remove the connection between Horizon and a vCenter Server instance. When you do so, Horizon no longer manages the virtual machines created in that vCenter Server instance.

Prerequisites

Delete all the virtual machines that are associated with the vCenter Server instance. For more information about deleting virtual machines, see "Delete a Desktop Pool" in the Windows Desktops and Applications in Horizon 8 document.

Procedure

  1. In Horizon Console, navigate to Settings > Servers.

  2. On the vCenter Servers tab, select the vCenter Server instance.

  3. Click Remove.

A dialog message warns you that Horizon will no longer have access to the virtual machines that are managed by this vCenter Server instance.

  4. Click OK.

Results

Horizon can no longer access the virtual machines created in the vCenter Server instance.
