Home Site Redirection redirects users from a connected site to their designated home site without having to reauthenticate through the Unified Access Gateway, thus reducing reducing backhaul traffic.
You can enable Home Site Redirection in the Add/Edit Home Site screen. You must specify a predefined redirection URL in the URL field, which serves as the target location to which the user will be redirected. See Create and Configure a Site in Horizon Console.
The following criteria must be met for the redirection to occur:
- The user must have connected to a site other than their designated home site.
- The user's client must support the home site redirection feature.
Note: Unauthenticated access user and kiosk mode are not supported.
The Home Site Redirection feature has a overall kill switch, which is OFF (0) by default. You must turn it ON before making any other configuration changes. To turn ON the feature, change 'pae-EnableSiteRedirection' under OU=Properties, OU=Global, CN=Common in global LDAP to 1. This change is performed on the Global Data Layer LDAP instance. For more information, see KB 90050.
Limitations
- If you are using WS1 with the feature, local entitlements from the initial site cannot be launched.
