This option makes your work easy to access frequently used web pages, saving you time and effort from having to navigate through multiple bookmarks.

All managed and personal bookmarks are alphabetically sorted by default. You can also search them by title or URL. If the bookmarks do not have icons, the Bookmark page displays the first letter of the title set by you or your administrators as the bookmark icon.

Web clips that your organization has distributed can also be viewed as bookmarks. If your administrator has configured it, some webclips open in full screen mode. Obtain an AI-generated Summary of a Web Page

Workspace ONE Web is integrated with Apple Intelligence to provide an instant summary of the web page currently in focus. To control this feature, administrators can configure the AllowWebpageSumarrisation key-value pair (KVP) through the Workspace ONE UEM console.

Pre-requisites

The Summarize option is available to device users only when the following conditions are met:

  • Apple Intelligence is activated on the user's iOS device.
  • The user is using Workspace ONE Web with a managed account.
  • The administrator has configured this feature as part of the organization's policies.

By default, the KVP value is set to false and no summary is generated. When the administrator sets the KVP value to true, a Summarize option is displayed in the Web menu. When the user taps this menu item, the textual content of the web page in focus is summarized and displayed on the screen.

Autonomous Single App Mode (ASAM)

Workspace ONE Web on iOS supports Autonomous Single App Mode (ASAM) with Admin Passcode-based entry and exit. ASAM lets an app enable or disable Single App Mode on its own, without intervention from an MDM or admin, when you have enabled the app for ASAM in the Workspace ONE UEM Console. This lets you lock a device to Workspace ONE Web for a specific time; all other apps become available again once the app control is restored. The Admin Passcode allows on-site managers or supervisors to exit Single App Mode locally, without requiring intervention from the MDM administrator.

For more information, see Autonomous Single App Mode in Workspace ONE Web.

Using Workspace ONE Web in Kiosk Mode

Kiosk Mode limits browsing to the Home page and Bookmarks configured by the administrator. The URL bar is non-editable and Scan QR code is not accessible by default.

There are two Kiosk modes available.

  • Single tab – User can access Home page and bookmarks configured by the administrator on a single tab only. Loading of external URL is not allowed.

  • Multi tab – User can access Home page and bookmarks configured by the administrator on multiple tabs. Loading of external URL is allowed.

Additional Features Available in Both Kiosk Modes

  • Forward/Backward – Navigate forward and backward through previously visited web pages.

  • Home – Return to the Workspace ONE Web home page set by the administrator.

  • Bookmark – User can access the bookmarks page based on the bookmarks added by the administrator.

  • Settings – To access Settings in Kiosk mode, press and hold the home button for 5 seconds. The following options appear:

    • Support - Share logs for diagnostic purposes.
    • Advanced - View and renew certificates.
  • Edit URL bar and Scan QR codes – To enable URL bar and Scan QR Code on Multi tab, use the KVP "EditURLBarInKioskMode". For more information, see Key Policies of Workspace ONE Web.

Optimize Your Browsing Experience with Workspace ONE Web for iOS

You can boost your browsing experience by using the following tips and tricks.

  • Clear inactive tabs

To free up space for new pages and sites, you can configure Workspace ONE Web to automatically close inactive tabs after a certain period. To set the time frame, navigate to Settings > Clear Tabs and select a time based on your preferences.

  • Set iOS Web as the default browser

Users can set Workspace ONE Web as default browser by following these steps:

    1. Navigate to Web Settings and select Default Browser App, which opens the Web Settings in iOS settings app.
    2. Select Web as your default browser app.
  • Send log files from Web to your admin

You can send SDK, Web, and Web SDK logs to the UEM console by navigating to the Workspace ONE Web Settings page and selecting Send logs to Administrator. The sharing of logs from the device is mainly helpful for diagnostic purposes when Web is used in single app mode, especially on frontline or rugged devices where the current options to copy and email logs do not work.

  • Authenticate URLs using Yubikey through PIV-D

Workspace ONE Web supports URL authentication with Yubikey using derived credentials. YubiKey is a hardware authentication device that helps you access websites securely. This technique necessitates the installation of the PIV-D app on your device, and the public certificates downloaded to the PIV-D app from the Yubikey device. You can follow the following steps for URLs that require integrated authentication through derived credentials.

    1. Navigate to the URL which requires Yubikey based authentication.
    2. Tap the PIV-D sign-in option. When you select the option, it launches the PIV-D app.
    3. Enter the Yubikey pin in the Unlock Accessory window.
    4. Tap the Yubikey device to authenticate. Successful authentication shows success message on screen.
    5. Tap the back option to return to the Web app.
  • Sign out of your standalone Web app

When using Workspace ONE Web in standalone enrollment mode, you have the option to sign out. Signing out of Web unenrolls the device and deletes all Web application data and settings from the device. Moreover, you may be signed out of other applications on the device that share the same user credentials. You can navigate to Web Settings > Account and select the Sign Out option to sign out of Workspace ONE Web.

  • Securely Access URLs

You can enhance your secured browsing experience with the following features of Workspace ONE Web:

    • When you load a URL with no scheme, Workspace ONE Web makes https as a default scheme and loads the website.
    • When you access a URL with http, a warning is displayed saying the connection is not secure and not to exchange any critical information on that website.
    • There is an admin configuration that can enforce all the URLs to load with https scheme.

Rate and Review your Experience with Workspace ONE Web for iOS

You can rate your Web app experience and leave a review on App Store right from within the app. The app prompts you to rate the experience at various points in your journey of using the app. This feedback helps the product team improve the app and continue to provide you a great experience.

Adjust Text Size of your Websites

You can set a page zoom percentage for all web pages loaded within your Workspace ONE Web app. To do so, click the menu button and then select the Text Zoom option to change the size of the text on the opened website. For the page zoom level, you can choose from 50% to 200%. The default is 100%. When you modify the page zoom percentage, the option honors the change when you load/reload a web page in Web. For example, if the page zoom percentage is 75%, the web page loads at 75% zoom in Web.

App Intents

With App Intents, application actions can be easily accessible through system experiences such as Siri, Spotlight, and Shortcuts, allowing users to quickly perform frequent tasks or access information without opening the app.
