Onboard Paid Subscriptions

Onboard a paid service in Omnissa Connect depending on how you purchased the service, from Omnissa Sales or from an Omnissa partner.

How do I onboard a paid subscription purchased through Omnissa Sales

As an Owner, you receive an email from Omnissa Sales or from Omnissa Connect with a link for subscription onboarding.

Subscription IDs and organizations

When you purchase a subscription from Omnissa Sales, your order comes with a subscription ID. Each subscription ID is associated with one or more term commitments.

If your purchase order contains multiple subscriptions, you can do one of the following tasks.

  • Apply all subscriptions to one organization.
  • Apply each subscription to a different organization.

After the onboarding process is complete, you cannot move the subscription to another organization.

Prerequisites

Before you start with Omnissa Connect, you would have received an email with an onboarding link.

Procedure

  1. To open the onboarding workflow, select the link in the email you received.
  2. On the Omnissa Connect Welcome page, sign in with your Omnissa account.
  3. If you don't have an Omnissa account, select Create Your Omnissa Account and follow the steps to create one.
The onboarding workflow opens to display the subscriptions associated with your Omnissa account.
  4. Select the service subscriptions you want to apply.
  5. Associate an organization with the service subscriptions you selected. Follow the first-time user process or the process for those users already associated with an organization.
    • First-time user: You are a first-time user of Omnissa Connect.
      1. The system prompts you to create an organization by entering the applicable information.
        1. Enter a name for your Organization.
This name will be visible on the Omnissa Connect toolbar.
        2. Enter your company business address.
        3. Select the currency in which your Organization is billed.
        4. Add a default payment method for the Organization.
Note: If restricted Pay By Invoice (PBI) is activated for your Omnissa account, you will see it listed as a default payment method option, but the option is inactive. To be able to use PBI as a payment method, you must activate unrestricted PBI through an offline approval process.
      2. Select Continue.
    • Already associated with an organization: Your account is already associated with one or more organizations in Omnissa Connect. The Select or Create Organization step of the workflow shows a list of the Organizations associated with your account.
      • To apply the service subscriptions in an existing organization that has no access to the service, select the organization from the list, then select Continue.
        • To apply the service subscriptions to an existing organization, the currency and selling unit of the subscription must match the currency and selling unit of the organization.
        • If you select to apply the service subscription to an existing organization with an incomplete profile, the system prompts you to provide the missing information, business address, and default payment method.
      • To apply the service subscription in a new organization, select Create Organization and follow the steps described for first-time users.
  6. Read and agree to the Terms of Service.
  7. Select Complete.

How do I onboard a paid subscription purchased through an Omnissa Partner Seller

When you purchase a subscription through an Omnissa partner seller, you receive an invitation email with an onboarding link directly from the seller.

This onboarding link is associated with your order and with a seller account which is unique for each Omnissa partner seller. When you apply the service subscriptions purchased through that seller to an Omnissa Connect organization, you associate the organization with both the service and the seller.

Each partner associated with a single organization

You can onboard multiple service subscriptions purchased through one partner seller in a single organization.

You must create a separate Omnissa Connect organization for each partner seller from which you purchase service subscriptions.

Prerequisites

Before you start with Omnissa Connect, you would have received an email with an onboarding link from the Omnissa partner seller.

Procedure

  1. To open the onboarding workflow, select the link in the email you received.
  2. On the Omnissa Connect Welcome page, sign in with your Omnissa account.
  3. If you don't have an Omnissa account, select Create Your Omnissa Account and follow the steps to create one.
The onboarding workflow opens to display the service subscriptions associated with your Omnissa account.
  4. Select the subscriptions you want.
  5. Associate an organization with the service subscriptions you selected by following either the process for first-time onboarding or the process for previously onboarded.
    • First-time onboarding with a seller: You are onboarding a service purchased from this seller for the first time.
      • Even if your account is associated with one or more organizations, you are prompted to create a new organization.
      • Enter a name and business address. The physical business address you provide on this step must pass an address validation check and comply with the validation rules.
    • Previously onboarded with a seller: You have previously purchased and onboarded other services from this seller.
      • Since you already have an organization associated with this seller, this organization is selected by default.
      • No other options are available as you can only have one seller in an organization.
      • If the service is already used in the organization you selected, the system redirects you to the service Home page.
  6. Select Complete.
A pop-up window opens prompting you to confirm your choice.
  7. To apply the service subscriptions to the selected organization, select Apply Subscriptions.
