Display the MAC Addresses of Client Devices

If you want to create an account for a client that is based on its MAC address, you can use Omnissa Horizon Client to discover the MAC address of the client device.

Prerequisites

Log in on the console of the client.

Procedure

  1. To display the MAC address, type the appropriate command for your platform.

    OptionAction
    WindowsEnter C:\Program Files (x86)\Horizon View Client\view.exe -printEnvironmentInfo The client uses the default Omnissa Horizon Connection Server instance that you configured for it. If you have not configured a default value, the client prompts you for the value. The command displays the IP address, MAC address, and machine name of the client device.
    LinuxEnter view --printEnvironmentInfo -s connection_server You must specify the IP address or FQDN of the Horizon Connection Server instance that the client will use to connect to the desktop. The command displays the IP address, MAC address, machine name, domain, name and domain of any logged-on user, and time zone of the client device.
