As an administrator in the Partner Admin Console for Horizon Cloud, you can create a vSphere resource partition in your partner organization and then assign that partition to a tenant organization.
Note: The Horizon Partner Admin Console is currently available in Limited Availability (LA) mode only.
A vSphere resource partition allows you, as the partner, to divide vCenter resources among various tenants. Once a partition is created and assigned to a tenant, the tenant resources are then scoped to only the assigned resources in that partition. The tenant VMs that are created by the tenant in their Horizon Cloud environment are limited to only those resources in the partition.
Note: The vSphere resource partition capability is available only on request. To request access to the partition function, please open a support ticket at Omnissa Customer Connect to request enabling the partition capability for your required tenant organizations.
A resource is comprised of the following elements:
- One Datacenter
- One Cluster
- One Resource Pool
- One VM Folder
- One or more Networks (Port groups)
- One or more Datastores
For vCenter and networking prerequisites relative to the vSphere provider type, see Requirements Checklist for Deploying a vSphere Edge.
