Directory Integration with Omnissa Access

You can integrate your enterprise directory with Omnissa Access to sync users and groups to the Omnissa Access service. Omnissa Access supports integration with Active Directory and with LDAP directories such as OpenLDAP.

When you integrate a directory, a limited number of user and group attributes, specified by the administrator, are synced to the Omnissa Access service. User passwords and any attributes other than the ones specified by the administrator are not synced.

The Directory Sync service, a component of the Omnissa Access connector, is required for directory integration. Before using this document, install the Directory Sync service. See the latest version of Installing Omnissa Access Connector for information.

Functionality Discontinued for Legacy Connectors

Identity Manager Connector 19.03.0.1 reached the end of extended support on August 31, 2022. All functionality related to 19.03.0.1 and earlier connectors is now discontinued in the Omnissa Access cloud service. See Knowledge Base 90808 for more information.

Omnissa Identity Service Integration

Omnissa Identity Service is a new service for integrating Omnissa products and services, including Omnissa Access, with a third-party, cloud-based identity provider to provide centralized user management. Omnissa Identity Service is based on the System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) 2.0 protocol.

Omnissa Identity Service is available for new Workspace ONE tenants that do not have any existing directory or identity provider integrations.

In Omnissa Access tenants that have Omnissa Identity Service enabled, directory, users, user groups, attributes, and identity provider pages are read-only as these settings are managed by Omnissa Identity Service.

Also, some features are not available in tenants that have Omnissa Identity Service enabled. See the Unsupported Workspace ONE Features section in the Configuring User Provisioning and Identity Federation with Omnissa Identity Service guide.

Support for Other Directory Types

Omnissa Access also supports other types of directories, such as local directories and Just-in-Time directories. For information about creating those types of directories, see the Omnissa Access Administration guide.
