You can activate single sign-on (SSO) authentication between the Omnissa Commerce Portal and Cloud services by trusting Cloud services as an identity provider.
What are the benefits of setting up SSO?
Setting up SSO for users in your organization brings the following benefits:
- Seamless authentication experience across Cloud services and Commerce Portal with single login credentials. Once logged in one service, users can jump between services without having to log in again.
- Enhanced user identity validation with a temporary code sent by email.
- Enhanced security with the optional multi-factor authentication capability of Cloud Services.
How do I set up SSO for my organization?
As an Administrator user, to set up SSO with Cloud Services for users in your organization, you must trust Cloud services as an identitty provider.
To enable SSO for your organization, you must have a Cloud Partner Navigator provider organization with a PRM ID on which SSO will be enabled.

On the Commerce Portal toolbar, expand the drop-down menu next to your user name and click Profile.

Select the Trust Cloud services as an identity provider check box.
A pop-up window appears. -
To confirm operation, select the check box and click Confirm.
You have successfully established trust with Cloud services as an identity provider. All users who are part of both your Cloud services organization and your Commerce Portal organization can now SSO to Commerce Portal using their Cloud services credentials.
Important: User who are only part of your Commerce Portal organization cannot SSO through Cloud services. To enable SSO for these users, you must first add them to your Cloud services organization.
How Do I Log In With Single Sign-On Authentication
After single sign-on (SSO) authentication is enabled for your organization, users can no longer authenticate with their Commerce Portal credentials. All users now have to use their Cloud services credentials to log in to Commerce Portal.
Note: If SSO is not enabled for your organization, you log in with your Commerce Portal credentials as usual.

On the Commerce Portal login page, click Login with SSO.
You are redirected to the Cloud services login page. -
Enter the email address associated with your Cloud services account and click Next.

Enter your password and click Sign In.
You have successfully logged in to Commerce Portal using SSO authentication.
Accessing Commerce Portal with SSO from the console of other services
Once SSO authentication is set up, you can access Commerce Portal from the consoles of other Cloud services without repeatedly entering your credentials.
To access Commerce Portal when working with any of the Cloud services, click the Commerce Portal service tile from the console of a service.
Troubleshooting login errors
If you are having issues logging in to Commerce Portal, it might be because your organization is set up with SSO or because you have forgotten your password.
If your organization is set up with SSO, you can only authenticate to Commerce Portal with your Cloud services credentials, following the SSO login procedure above.
If your organization is not set up with SSO and you get a login error, try resetting your Commerce Portal password:
- On the Commerce Portal login page, select the Forgot Password check box.
- Enter the email address associated with your Commerce Portal account.
- Click Send Email.
You receive an email with instructions about resetting your Commerce Portal password.
If your organization is set up with SSO and you get a login error, try resetting your Cloud services password:

On the Commerce Portal login page, click Login with SSO.
You are redirected to the Cloud services login page.

Enter the email address associated with your Cloud services account and click Next.

Click Forgot Password.
You receive an email with instructions about resetting your Cloud services password.
