You can create a Nutanix desktop pool from a Windows virtual machine (VM) using the desktop pool wizard in Horizon Console. Horizon 8 creates the Nutanix desktop VMs based on the settings that you specify when you create the pool.
Prerequisites

Verify that the Prism Central Capacity Provider is added to Horizon Connection Server.

Verify that you have the golden image Nutanix template ready. For more information, see Preparing a Golden Image.

Gather the configuration information for the pool. For more information, see Worksheet for Deploying a Nutanix Pool.

Verify that you have added a domain administrator in Horizon Console. For more information, see Horizon 8 Installation and Upgrade.
Prerequisites for UEM Enrollment
In addition to the previous prerequisites, the following prerequisites apply when you enable UEM Enrollment.

Horizon Enterprise and Workspace ONE UEM must be configured to use the same Active Directory domain to utilize this feature. The Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub must also be installed in your VM Image before creating the dedicated single-session pool managed by Workspace ONE UEM.

Procedure

In the Horizon Console, go to Inventory > Desktops.

Click Add.

Select Automated Desktop Pool.

Click Next.

Follow the Add Pool wizard to the create the pool using the information gathered in the Worksheet for Deploying a Nutanix Pool.
Note: You can go back to any page in the wizard before completing by clicking the page link on the left.
Results
In Horizon Console, view the desktop VMs as they are added by going to Inventory > Desktops.
