Invite-Only Availability
Horizon 8 offers Horizon Agent for macOS with limited availability.
Horizon Agent for macOS is now production-ready and available through a Limited Availability(LA) program for Horizon 8. The software is available for download from Omnissa Customer Connect, with access currently provided on an invite-only basis.To request access to the Limited Availability program, contact horizon-macos-request@omnissa.com, Omnissa sales representative, or Omnissa partner.
Limited Availability: Horizon Agent for macOS is available beginning in Horizon 8 version 2606. Horizon Agent handles communication between your physical macOS machine and Horizon Connection Server, allowing Connection Server to manage and deliver macOS desktops to end users. This section covers system requirements, preparation steps, installation procedures, configuration, and troubleshooting for Horizon Agent on macOS.
Note: Horizon Agent for macOS supports physical macOS machines only. Virtual machine deployments, instant-clone desktop pools, linked-clone pools, and published applications are not supported.
System Requirements for Horizon Agent for macOS
To install Horizon Agent for macOS, your deployment must meet the following requirements.

Note: Intel-based Mac hardware is not supported in this Limited Availability release.
Required Platform and Software Versions
To use Horizon Agent for macOS, your deployment must meet the following requirements for Horizon Connection Server and Horizon Client software.

Horizon Agent for macOS 2606 supports TLS 1.2 when connecting to Horizon Connection Server 2603. When connecting to Horizon Connection Server 2606, it uses TLS 1.3 by default, and also supports TLS 1.2.
Note: PCoIP is not supported by Horizon Agent for macOS. Remote macOS desktops use Horizon Blast Extreme exclusively.

- Clipboard Redirection
Unsupported Features
The following features are not supported in this LA release:
- USB Redirection
- Audio input and output
- Real-Time Audio-Video (RTAV)
- Smart Card Redirection
- Instant Clone desktop pools
- Published Applications
- Linked-Clone desktop pools
- Multi-session (RDSH) deployments
Network Requirements
Physical macOS machines must accept incoming TCP connections from Horizon Client devices, Unified Access Gateway appliances, and Horizon Connection Server instances.
Configure macOS Firewall settings and any network firewalls to permit these connections on the required Horizon Blast ports. For port requirements, see Horizon 8 TCP and UDP Ports.
