Update Log Level for App Volumes Manager

You can change the log level in the production log of an App Volumes Manager server from within the App Volumes Manager admin UI, using the Update Log Level button. This change does not require restarting the App Volumes Manager service.

This button can be used to change the log level for a single App Volumes Manager server or multiple servers at the same time. The log level values are INFO, DEBUG, and NONE. By default, the log level is INFO. If the log level is changed to NONE, then no entries are logged in the production log.

Note: If you have already set the log level in the log4r.yml file, then changing the log level using the Update Log Level button takes precedence over the log level configured in the file.

Procedure

  1. In the App Volumes Manager admin UI, navigate to CONFIGURATION > Managers.

The Log level column in the table displays the log level status of an App Volumes Manager server.

  2. Select the App Volumes Manager server for which you want to change the log level.

  3. Click Update Log Level.

  4. In the Update Log Level window, select the required log level using the radio button and click UPDATE.

It might take approximately 10 seconds for the log level to change to the new value.
