Horizon Cloud Service Next-Gen is a modern cloud-first, multi-cloud Desktop as a Service (DaaS) deployment with thin edge infrastructure. The service provides you with a global view of your desktops and applications spanning on-premises and cloud environments.
When Horizon Cloud Service Next-Gen is integrated with Access, the apps and desktops appear in the Access console on the Resources > Horizon Cloud Services Next-Gen page.
Conditional Access for Horizon Cloud Service Next-Gen Apps and Desktops
Conditional access allows organizations to use the context of a user or device such as the network range, group membership, or type of device to determine the user’s authentication requirements and application access rights.
Omnissa Access customers can implement conditional access rules for web apps or virtual apps such as Horizon desktops or internal apps.
Administrators can set conditional access policies in the Omnissa Access console for their Horizon and Horizon Cloud Service Next-Gen desktops and apps. Horizon and Horizon Cloud Service Next-Gen can enforce conditional policies when the user accesses entitlements through the Omnissa Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub web client or through Horizon clients.
For more information on setting conditional acess policies for Horizon next-gen apps and desktops, see Configure Web and Virtual App Access Policies and Assign Apps to the Policy in Omnissa Access.
Monitor Next-Gen Apps and Desktops in Omnissa Access Dashboard
Omnissa Access provides admins wth audit reports and a dashboard related to users, groups, and resource activities. The dashboard displays Omnissa Access resources such as Application usage, adoption, and information about Web Apps and Virtual apps.
Horizon Cloud Service Next-Gen creates an application for the resources associated with conditional access policies. The app count in the dashboard only includes Next-Gen resources that have conditional policies assigned to them. Next-Gen resources that do not have conditional access policies assigned to them will not display in the dashboard.
For more information on the Omnissa Access dashboard, see Monitor How Omnissa Access Services are Used.
Support for Single Sign-on to Microsoft Office 365 applications
Omnissa Access supports SSO to Microsoft Office 365 applications from Microsoft Entra Hybrid domain-joined Horizon desktops and published apps using certificate-based authentication. See Configuring Single Sign-on to Microsoft Office 365 applications (Horizon published apps and desktops) for information.
