Monitor RDS Hosts in Horizon Console

You can monitor the status and view the properties of RDS hosts in both manual and automated farms in Horizon Console.

Procedure

  1. In Horizon Console, navigate to the page that displays the properties that you want to view.

    PropertiesAction
    DNS Name, Type, Image, Pending Image, Task, Max Number of Connections, Sessions, Agent Version, Enabled, Status
    • In Horizon Console, select Inventory > Farms.
    • Select a farm and click the RDS Hosts tab.
    RDS Host, Farm, Desktop Pool, Agent Version, Sessions, Status
    • In Horizon Console, select Inventory > Machines.
    • Click the RDS Hosts tab.
    DNS Name, Type, RDS Farm, Max Number of Connections, Sessions, Agent Version, Enabled, Status
    • In Horizon Console, select Settings > Registered Machines.
    • Click the RDS Hosts tab.

Results

The properties are displayed and have the following meanings:

PropertyDescription
RDS HostName of the RDS host.
FarmFarm to which the RDS host belongs.
Desktop PoolPublished desktop pool associated with the farm.
Agent VersionVersion of Horizon Agent that runs on the RDS host.
SessionsNumber of client sessions.
DNS NameDNS name of the RDS host.
TypeVersion of Windows Server that runs on the RDS host.
RDS FarmFarm to which the RDS host belongs.
ImageImage of the RDS host on the farm.
Pending ImagePending image of the RDS host on the farm.
TaskTask being performed on the RDS host of the farm.
Max Number of ConnectionsMaximum number of connections that the RDS host can support.
EnabledWhether the RDS host is enabled.
